Upon arriving at Lindos, be wowed by one of the island’s most impressive views! Your driver will make a quick stop so you can soak in the spectacular view and take memorable photos before heading to the next sightseeing spot.

Continue discovering the beauties of Lindos by driving with ease around the village to see the entire settlement and savor stunning views. The next stop will take your breath away as you can see the famed St. Paul’s Bay and take some of the most fantastic holiday photos!

It is time to kick off your Lindos visit! Receive our customized map of Lindos with directions & information, and take full advantage of your free time to enjoy the village at your own pace. Have a leisurely walk along the cobbled paths that wind between traditional Lindian whitewashed homes & colorful courtyards with bougainvillea trees, see hidden alleyways with ornate Captain’s houses nowadays occupied with atmospheric taverns, find local crafts at stylish boutiques, have an ice cream or fresh orange juice, or head to the Acropolis of Lindos and tour the archaeological site.

Then you can meet your driver again and continue with a return drive along the coast of Rhodes. Your next stop is Kallithea Springs – a closed, rocky cove that attracts thousands of visitors worldwide. As you walk into the site, you will notice its unusual architecture! During the inter-war period, Italians built Kallithea as a luxurious SPA facility to attract noble tourists to the springs with medical waters and demonstrate the island’s natural beauties.

You will have free time for self-exploration and leisure. If you are looking for a cultural experience, see the „Big Rotunda” exhibition to learn about its tremendous history and reconstruction and hear stories about the SPA with its therapeutical water from the springs. Connoisseurs of historical movies will be interested in recognizing Kallithea as a set for the famous foreign landmark movies “Guns of Navarone” and “Escape to Athina.” Finally, Kallithea also offers a beautiful beachfront snack bar where you can relax with your family or friends and soak up the atmosphere with a light lunch or a refreshing drink!

Fully refreshed, continue with the Panoramic tour of Rhodes City to see its highlights with its ancient, medieval, and modern-day heritage sites. Observe all the town’s significant government buildings like the Town Hall, the Court, Prefecture Offices, Central Post, National Theatre, and the Main Church. Most of the buildings are works created by Florestano di Fausto during the Italian dictatorship combining architectural styles and elements of Byzantine, Venetian, Renaissance, Ottoman, and local Greek culture. Pass by the Mandraki Esplanade and see the Statues with Deer at the entrance of the ancient port where the Colossus of Rhodes once stood. Then, your driver will take you to the highest part of the city, also known as Monte Smith, where the Acropolis of Rhodes with the Temple of Apollo is situated.

• Drive to Kallithea Springs – approx. 15 min + free time in Kallithea Springs – approx 45 min

– Admire Kallithea’s unique marble & pebble floor mosaics typical to the Aegean region and discover the meaning of different ornaments

– Have your lunch or refreshments at the beach cafe with access to the lovely beach

• Express drive to Lindos along the East Coast of Rhodes Island – approx 50 min (one way)

LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY – 1-2 (Easy/ Moderate)

Passengers must be able to step in and out of the tour vehicle (the Minibus is equipped with a power step). Travelers must be able to walk over paved or cobblestone surfaces.

The Kallithea Springs site has easy access.

Lindos village has inclines, narrow walkways, and cobbled streets.

The Acropolis of Lindos is situated at the top of the rock. There are approx 300 steps and a long flight of stairs without handrails.

For guests with walking difficulties, getting on a public shuttle bus to the main square of Lindos is possible (extra cost of 0.5 Eur per person/one way).

CLOTHING

We recommend wearing comfortable clothing, sensible walking shoes. In spring (April-May) and autumn (Mid September-November) a light jacket is recommended as it can be windy. During summer (June-September) do not forget your hat or a light wrapping, and sunglasses. Lindos is one of the hottest places on the island. Make sure to carry with you a bottle of water at all times! Always wear your sunscreen! Grab a swimming costume & a towel for the beach in Kallithea Springs.
