We depart from the Ixia area at around 9am (exact time depends on the pick up point). We keep driving down the East coast of Rhodes, passing through villages of Faliraki, Afandou, Kolybia, Archangelos, and Kalathos. As we arrive in Lindos – one of the three ancient cities of the island, you will be amazed by the unique view of the bay of Lindos. Stopping at the top of the hill to make photographs is a must.
During your excursion in Rhodes you cannot miss Lindos, where you can meet rich cultural heritage and architecture that has changed little across recent times. You can see the white washed houses and the narrow streets of the village, the Byzantine Church of St. John and the famous Temple of Athena Lindia. Experience the donkey ride up to the Acropolis of Lindos and taste local specialties in one of the many restaurants. Do not miss the view from the rock of the acropolis. Explore the village strolling through the streets dotted with wonderful souvenir shops, cafes and restaurants. If you want to refresh yourself, the best choice is to climb down to the beach and dive in the refreshing waters of the Mediterranean Sea.
We drive to Lindos in just one hour. The distance is 56km from the capital of Rhodes. On the way you can admire the greenery of the island. The drive is comfortable and relaxing.

Description:
We depart from the Ixia area at around 9am (exact time depends on the pick up point). First stop is in Filerimos, which is the most ancient well-defined settlement on the island. We drive up to the Filerimos hill, where is located Filerimos Monastery and the Road to Golgotha – a road dotted wit holy icon-stands. Following this footway you can reach an enormous imposing cross.
The next stop of your tour of Rhodes is Kritinia’s Castle – where you can feel the spirit of the16th century, when Knights of Rhodes were in charge to protect the west coast of the island.
We continue going up the main road and drive to the magic panoramic view point in Vorino, from where you can see 16 other small islands, like the Chalki, Alymia, Makri, Stongyuli, Tragousa.
Embona village is the next stop, where we will reveal you the art of wine and local food traditions. The village is located at the foot of the Mt. Attaviros, the highest mountain in Rhodes (1,215m). All the slopes and ridges of the mountain are green with pine forests and vineyards.
We will make an amazing stop at two traditional hotels build by Italians “Elafos” and “Elafina”, where you will have a chance to learn about the symbol of Rhodes – the two dears. After we will continue driving to the Profitis Ilias Mountain, where we have a stop by the 14th Century Byzantine Church of St. Nicolas at Foundoukli. You can enjoy the view from there and quench your thirst with the cold water from the spring outside the church.
The last stop is at Seven Springs, where you can walk to the lake by following the road above a tunnel or enjoy Greek coffee while admiring the nature. This is a beautiful deep green ravine with pine trees with gushing water, forming small streams. Coming back to your pick up point we will have a stop in Kolybia village to see the ancient art of ceramic pottery.

Valley of the Butterflies

Description:
We depart from the Ixia area in the morning as this is the best time to explore the nature. We keep driving the West coast passing through the coastal area of Ixia and the village of Trianda and Paradeisi. Driving is approximately 25 minutes.
The renowed Valley of the Butterflies is one of the most unusual biotopes in Europe. It is a luxuriant ravine with abundant running water that attracts thousands of tourists. This is a bellowed place of the butterflies (belonging to the species Callimorpha Qudripunctaria Himalaiensis, first discovered in Himalayas). The butterflies live in the valley during the summer, mate and fly away in September with the first rains. As well as the butterflies, also people are attracted by the smell of the resin and the coolness of the surroundings which does not change even in the hottest days of summer.
At the ground level of the valley is a quaint restaurant built in Alpine style, where you can sip a refreshing drink or get energized with Greek coffee before or after the walk.
If you feel strong enough you can also climb up to the highest point of the valley and reach the Kalopetra Monastery, built in 1784. Clambering down to the bottom of the valley you will reach a small museum dedicated to the nature an animals of Rhodes.

Boat Cruises

The Boat Cruises in Rhodes are full day trips on local boats to the most famous and attractive destinations. Daily boats are leaving the Mandraki harbor to depart to Lindos and Stegna beach. Symi Island, which is situated northwest of Rhodes, is one of the most popular destinations due to its picturesque scenery and well preserved traditional architecture. As Rhodes is close to the coasts of Turkey, there is also a possibility to visit its closest town – Marmaris, which is very well known as a tourist destination and a market place in Turkey. Most of the trips are not guided, therefore giving everyone a chance to find the most suitable activity, either sightseeing and visiting museums, swimming and shopping or exploring local cuisine. All the trips are provided with transfers from and back to the hotel.

Lindos by Boat

Another way to go to Lindos, apart from the bus tour, is by boat. The shore trip of Rhodes is for you if you wish to combine swimming and sightseeing.

Leaving the Mandraki port, the harbor of ancient Rhodes with the statues of the stag and the doe at its entrance, you will sail along the East coast of the Island. It is a 2 hours sail, during which you can admire the coastline and enjoy the combination of sunshine and refreshing sea breeze.
During your stay in Lindos, you can explore the village strolling through the small narrow streets dotted with wonderful souvenir shops, cafes and restaurants. If you prefer ancient sites, visit to the Acropolis is a must!
On the return trip refreshing swimming stop is being made either at Stegna or at Tsambika bay for 15 min.

Symi Island & Panormitis

This is the most popular daily sea excursion from Rhodes. Daily hundreds of visitors depart on local boats to have a chance to visit a place, which used to be first in the world in sponge diving. It is mostly a sightseeing tour, but if one wishes, beach sites are also easy to reach.

A quick island hop to nearby island called Symi, famous for its picturesque harbor and sponge diving. The welcoming and Venetian feel of Symi harbor, as colorful and inspiring as the houses and churches which cascade from the hill tops down to the water. Stop at the Symi town is 3 hours long so you have enough time to explore the small, but impressive town, buy some natural sea sponges, and try local cuisine.
After enjoy a cruise down to the bay of Panormitis with its Monastery St. Michael and a museum.

Marmaris/ Turkey

During your stay in Rhodes you have chance to visit one more country. It takes only 2 hours to reach Asia. This tour is for those, who like the Oriental style – well known for shopping and bargaining traditions. There is no Visa need for one day visit to Turkey. Note, travelers from countries, who need Visa to enter Greece, must have Double or Multi entrance Visa.

When reaching Marmaris port, our escorts will invite you for 1 hour City tour by bus, which is accompanied by an official guide. The tour includes also a visit to a Jewelry factory and a Turkish delights factory. Continuing the tour of Marmaris from Rhodes you will be dropped out at the famous Bazaar of Marmaris. There you can find many jewelry shops, along side with spice shops, carpet shops, clothe shops, restaurants and cafés. Do not be surprised by all the invitations you get from shop owners, to have a cup or two, of Alma Cai i.e. Apple tea. It is all part of the famous Turkish hospitality.

The boat leave from the Rhodes Town early in the morning. It sails around the East coast of the island. We visit Anthony Quinn bay for 30 min swimming, where the boat is docking and you can jump from the boat or even swim to the coast and back! The basic stop in this trip is Stegna beach, where the boat is anchoring for 2 hours. There you can find many sea activities and also buy your lunch. On the way back there is a stop at Afandou bay where once again you will be able to dive off the boat into the crystal clear water for about 30 min.

Scuba Diving

Jeep Safari

We drive open jeeps (4-5 persons). There is a possibility to be a passenger or a driver. To drive the jeep a driver must be from 23 years old and have a driving license more then 2 years.
On our way we pass through typical Greek villages such as: Maritsa and Psinthos. This is a tour where you will experience off-road driving. We pass riverbeds, lot of dust, bumpy roads, rocks and very steep hills. There are also some stops during the day. The first stop of your jeep safari in Rhodes is at a cozy tavern surrounded by a beautiful forest. The second stop is at the top of the third highest mountain, the Profitis Ilias, with a beautiful view of the island. More exciting off-road driving will bring you to the beach of Kalavarda, where is the third stop for swimming and a lunch. And on the way back you will have many more adventurous and extreme moments!

Horse back riding

For those who love horses there is a nice chance to have a ride on a beach or in the forest!
